Omtale

This Nordic yearbook is a continuation of the series Social Changes and Adult Education Research first published in 1992, and subsequently yearly 1993-1999. The aim of these Nordic yearbooks is to present the most recent, on-going research into adult education in the Nordic countries to an international audience. A main focus of the fifteen articles presented here is on recent reforms and policy in the field of adult education. Included in the book are also articles on the life-story approach, management education, IT-effects on jobs, self-directed learning, Grundtvig's educational ideas and a scenario for life long learning. The book is a joint enterprise by institutions in the Nordic countries with one person from each country constituting the editorial staff.
