Christmas Eve, 1960. A baby vanishes from a locked house in Reykjavík in a remote Icelandic valley. The crime leaves no trace, until twenty years later, the child's teddy bear is found. Detective Hulda Hermannsdóttir is sent north to dig for the truth. But when a storm cuts off the valley, Hulda finds herself trapped with eight suspects who each have something to hide.
