Omtale

“And now that we've finished,” she said, glancing at the door leading to the new bedroom, “just imagine how thrilled I am to find out how he'll react when he comes home!” I knew that it was time to get up and leave the table. I should pick up my toolbox and get out. The sheep were waiting for me in their pen. Then she told me how much Sander had always trusted me. “Why, Sander speaks so much about you I'm almost jealous,” she said with a little laugh. I felt myself blush. Where is the borderline between friendship and love? If they start drilling for oil in the Lofoten seas, what will the outcome be? The journalist Sander and the sheep farmer Gjermund have been great friends since childhood. Sander, who had married a Russian woman called Tatjana, was injured in a collision with a trailer and left paralysed from the waist down. Gjermund refurbishes Sander and Tatjana's house; he fishes and grows potatoes, as well as looking after his flock of sheep. Physically, he is capable of everything Sander cannot do – sexually, too, as it turns out. But between the three of them, they work out an unconventional solution and Sander takes up the battle against the oil prospectors. A love triangle set in the grandiose nature in northern Norway.
