This is precisely because social economists consider money itself to be a scale of value: so they use MONEY AS A PRODUCT. This conception of the intrinsic value of money is alive in economists as well as people in general, and this despite the fact that the socalled knowledge of this area in textbooks claims to distinguish between the real object and the financial object.
