Omtale
This book draws attention to the organizational dimensions of politics. We live in a world of organizations. Organizations affect all aspects of our societies and lives. In order to understand society we need to understand how organizations emerge, change and disappear. It is equally important that we understand how organizations, and different modes of organizing, affect decision making, co-operation and conflict, as well as political outcomes. Political processes and political systems cannot be adequately understood or explained without including the organizational dimension(s) of politics. We believe that organizational theory is a powerful tool for approaching such issues. This book combines two ambitions. One the one hand, we want to direct attention to the diverse organizational dimensions of politics. On the other hand, we want to honor the scholarly work of Morten Egeberg. Three different themes are addressed in this book: (I) organizational theory, decision-making and administrative behavior, (II) the relationship between government and society, and (III) the transformation of European government(s) and governance.
