Careful what you wish for. Gerry Anderson is a famous author who's never quite lived up to his hit debut, Dream Girl, a novel whose popularity and infamy has only benefitted over the years from speculation around who the novel's titular heroine, Aubrey, may have been based on. Now back in his native Baltimore, Gerry is in his sixties and unwell, with only his PA and his night-nurse for company. And that's when he starts to receive strange letters and phone calls - is someone actually claiming to be the 'real' Aubrey? Bed-bound, and with one too many women in his past to choose from, can Gerry possibly see through the ever blurring lines of fact and fiction and figure out who is threatening him? Or has his moment of reckoning finally arrived?
