Microeconometrics of production : norwegian contributions

This volume presents selected Norwegian contributions to applied microeconometric studies of production in the period 1967 to 1999. The volume is divided into six parts. The first is an introductory part with two papers reviewing the history of the research on the microeconometrics of production in Norway. The second part presents four papers on the estimation of production functions. The third part deals with dual analyses - four analyses based on cost function estimations and one analysis based on the estimation of a profit function. In part four, two empirical papers based on Leif Johansen's Putty-Clay framework are presented, while the fifth part contains three papers based on the production frontier approach. Part six deals with error-in-the-variables and contains two papers on this subject. With exception of the introductory part and two other papers, all contributions are reprints from well known international economics journals.
