At the beginning of a new school year, Peter 'Mad Max' Maxwell's first task is to assist in the hiring of a new Assistant Head teacher. But during the lunch meeting disaster strikes, as guests and staff become seriously ill. After being reluctantly thrust into the role of Acting Headmaster, Maxwell works to unravel the mystery.
