Angel grew up on a council estate with her Grandmother in Kent. Angel shared a tiny bedroom with her sister and wore uniform three sizes too big so she could grow into it. Angel is a far cry from the sophisticated lawyer Angelica who is married to successful, monied Sebastian and lives in East London. When Angelica gets told that her beloved Grammy has had a heart attack, she is forced to confront everything she left behind and question whether the perfect life she has sacrificed so much to build really is the life she wants to live.
