Antibiotic resistance, the so called silent pandemic, is a serious, global health concern that has already cost Millions of lives. This book provides strategies for combatting antibiotic resistance by presenting in depth reviews of the nature and seriousness of the issue and discussing strategies and methods to deal with the evolution of resistance. Chapters unlock potential applications of alternative strategies. Comprehensive and updated information is presented for readers. For example, use of nanomaterial as antimicrobials to cure infections caused by superbugs or use of artificial intelligence and machine learning for overall control of antibiotic resistance in bacteria.
