This book (1941) provides an account of Modern Greece spanning more than a century. Part one traces the birth and early struggles of the Greek Kingdom through 1914. Part two examines Greece’s experience during World War I (1914–18). Part three covers the period from the 1919 Armistice to the Italian invasion of Greece in October 1940.
