The Odyssey

The Odyssey is the second of Homer's great works, though many doubt that it was written by the composer of the Iliad. It narrates the chronicle of Odysseus, the King of Ithaca and favourite of Athena, after the end of the Trojan War. Having angered Poseidon, Odysseus undergoes incredible trials on his epic journey home, where his family has presumed him dead. As his heroic mettle is put to the test by some of Greek mythology's most nefarious beings, Odysseus must come face to face with his own fate.
