WHAT MAKES A PERSON HUMAN?Single-minded optimist Shizuku and quick-witted mage Erik have braved a forbidden curse in Candela Castle and all manner of other dangers to reach their destination, the magic kingdom of Farsas. Hoping to find some clue that might help Shizuku return to Japan, they receive an audience with King Lars…who levels his sword at her and labels Shizuku an “unacceptable anomaly.” Will she be able to convince Lars of her humanity?
