This Handbook deals with textual criticism of Greek and Latin literature and of ancient documents (inscriptions, papyri), that is the process of trying to establish, on the basis of such evidence as we have, the original state of an ancient text. This book describes the methods by which we attempt to get as close as we can to the original texts.
