Psychonarratology : Foundations for the Empirical Study of Literary Response

The field of psychonarratology represents an interdisciplinary collaboration between, on one hand, cognitive psychology and discourse processing, and, on the other, narratology and literary studies. The present work provides a broad, integrative framework for pursuing research in this field that is approachable by researchers from both disciplinary backgrounds.
