Omtale
It is the week of the 10th December 2009. Barack Obama arrives in Oslo to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. During these intense days in December, we follow three people: For Hans, who has had a stroke and become a patient, the crucial relationship is to his physiotherapist Terje. He fights a last battle to retain his dignity. His ex-wife, a journalist called Karin, has been given the job to comment on president Obama's speech at the Nobel ceremony. By chance, she encounters an old flame. Is it too late for them? Hans and Karin's son-in-law Erik is hanging out in Oslo Central station every day. He was a soldier and is obsessed by an event in Afghanistan. But his meeting with a strange girl might change everything. Live, Erik's wife, and Karin and Hans's daughter, has gone away for the duration. In her absence, the three stories intertwine and everyone involved is forced to rethink their feeling about Live. What do we mean to each other? What do we know about those who are closest to us? En rettferdig krig is a book about what happens when you confront your most deeply felt fears and about the possibility of change.
