This book is a companion volume to Schwartz's The Unpublished Opinions of the Warren Court (1984) and The Unpublished Opinions of the Burger Court (1987). Like those volumes, this book contains the draft opinions prepared by Justices in key cases during the Rehnquist Court, each prefaced by a short history and commentary by Schwartz and followed by analysis of what took place after the drafts were circulated.
