The Atlas Comics Library No. 14 : Adventures Into Terror Vol. 2

Omtale

This second helping of four-color gruesomeness and depravity is packed with covers and stories rendered by a first-rate line-up of Atlas star artists firing on all cylinders: Joe Maneely, Carl Burgos, Bernard Krigstein, Gene Colan, Russ Heath, Bill Everett, Gil Kane, Joe Sinnott, Jim Mooney, George Tuska, Mort Lawrence, Cal Massey, Sy Barry, Sam Kweskin, Harry Anderson, and some of the earliest work for Marvel by Dick Ayers. Brace yourself for grisly and ghastly pre-Code thrillers including: Joe Sinnott's depiction of creeping dread on a rain-soaked island in "Island of Horror!", future EC great Bernard Krigstein's cemetery ghouls feasting on a coward's social circle in "Horror in the Graveyard!", Timely/Atlas veteran Ed Winiarski's demonstration of what happens when you use cheap material in "The Hangman's Noose!", a man with horrible claw hands in Gene Colan's "The Hands of Death!", the terrors of a woman born during the Spanish Inquisition in Joe Maneely's "My Name is Death!", Cal Massey's story of a pair of alligator farmers whose getaway from a bank robbery leads to the "Jaws of Death!", and a scientist brings his dead fiancée back to life in Mort Lawrence's "The Girl Who Couldn't Die!". Adventures into Terrorwas consistently one of the strongest of the extensive Atlas horror line and we're pleased to present the second of three volumes collecting the entirety of this iconic Atlas run.
