The main objective of this book is to investigate the interaction between technology and aesthetics. The project springs out of an assumption that the media bring art and technology together. In this context an important subsidiary aim is that of exploring how transitions from one media-technological period to another also lead to changes in artistic or literary expression, even in the organization of the whole field of the aesthetic.
