Arguably George Orwell's most iconic novel, Animal Farm discusses the events of the Russian Revolution and critiques Stalin's administration in Soviet Russia through an allegorical struggle for power on a farm. Tired of facing abuse at the hands of their human owners, a group of anthropomorphic animals come together to revolt against them under the slogan "All animals are equal". The novella masterfully satirizes the corrupting nature of power and what was, in Orwell's view, the trajectory of a failed revolution.
