These three illustrated excavation reports, first published in 1898, 1901 and 1908 and now reissued here together, were produced by pioneering Egyptologist Flinders Petrie, with chapters by fellow experts. The discoveries at the ancient cemeteries of Deshasheh, Diospolis Parva and Athribis contributed to Petrie's influential sequence dating of grave goods.
